Hi guys, I’m new to the forum and was just wondering if anyone know why & how my laptop has done this?

HP Probook 640

Windows 10 Pro Home

I bought the laptop almost 2 years ago from eBay and it was fine then randomly one evening my wife was using it for her course work with no problems, then we tried to turn it on the next day and it wouldn’t even boot. I managed to get it to boot and it shows me the above image, but there was only a missing serial number but every time I turned it in something else was “missing” I’ve tried to add the details back manually in bios tapping F10 but it won’t let me edit the details. I’ve tried ctrl+a but it still won’t let me edit any details whatsoever. Some times also when I turn the laptop on the date and time are wrong by maybe a couple of days I’m assuming that’s the exact time it’s decided to “die” so to speak.

Hope someone can help me with this matter! Thanks in advance guys if you need anymore info about the device etc just let me know 🙂

Mark.
