Product: HP Probook 6540b
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I want to reinstall my laptop but because the laptop was pre installed I have to do it with the recovery manager. There is no recovery manager on my laptop and for what I understand I can`t use the productkey that I have so I first have to go back to factory state of the laptop.

Who can help me out?

Hi:

 

If you can read all 25 characters of the windows 7 product key on your PC's case, you may be able to reinstall W7 as follows...

 

Click on the Windows ISO Downloader.exe link to download the tool to create the W7 ISO file download.

 

Select the Windows COEM ISO file download for the version of W7 the product key is good for.

I have zipped up and attached the Microsoft utility below, that will allow you to either put the file on a USB flash drive or burn it to a DVD.

It is a solution but contacted Micorsoft for  this download but it`s impossible to receive it.

 

I have the key but not sure where to find the correct version to download.
