In my organization we are slowly upgrading our Windows 10 machines to Windows 11 23H2. We have noticed that some machines are missing the sleep option from the start menu power button. While others still have it after the upgrade. To try and fix this I upgraded all the drivers and BIOS without any luck. If I open a cmd prompt and run powercfg -a I get this message,
Standby (S0 Low Power Idle)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.
This particular machine is an HP 600 G6 Mini, but I am seeing it some Zbooks and 450 G6s as well so far
As a test, I re-imaged that same machine back to Windows 10, and the sleep option re-appeared. Upgraded back to 11, sleep option disappeared.
Is this something I will just need to wait for HP to release a BIOS or driver update to fix it?
