i have started getting blue screen of deaths in the past week. They are usually Driver Overran Stack Buffer, IQRL not less or equal ,system thread exception not handled, system service exception, kernel security check fail and I have tried resetting windows and updating all of my drivers that I can find. This crash has started happening when i use my laptop without charger.

It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating blue screen errors (BSOD) with your OMEN by HP gaming laptop when it's not plugged in. The errors you've mentioned—like DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER, IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, and others—often point to driver issues, particularly with power management or hardware components not receiving enough power when running on battery.

 

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

 

  • Update Drivers: Make sure all your drivers are up to date, especially graphics and chipset drivers. You can do this through HP Support Assistant or by visiting our HP website for each component.
  • Power Settings: Since the BSOD occurs when unplugged, adjust your power settings. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. Set it to "High Performance" and make sure any power-saving features that might throttle performance are disabled.
  • Analyze Crash Dumps: Use tools like WinDbg or NirSoft BlueScreenView to analyze the crash dump files created during the BSOD events. This can help identify the specific driver causing the issue.
  • System Restore or Recovery: If the problem started recently, consider restoring your system to a point before the issues began. If that doesn't help, a full factory reset might be necessary, but ensure you back up your data first.
