HP 15-BS212WM (the one with the giraffe on packaging)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Today, I was playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The almost 2 year-old laptop worked fine. Purchased 12/4/18. Suddenly, I had to close the lid to do something quick-FS2004 is still running. But when I returned to the laptop and opened the lid, it won't exit sleep. I pressed the power button for 5 seconds to completely turn it off. I pressed it again to freshly start it again. The power light comes on, but suddenly goes off. Can't hear the normal purring of startup fans. It means the laptop doesn't start up. The charging light is completely fine and white when plugged in. Battery is fine. Tried the methods (removing charger and battery, pressing the power button for 15 seconds, and putting the charger and battery back in). Still, the BS212WM won't start. The power light still acts the same way.

Hey @ElectraHybrida

Welcome ! Sorry about this issue you are facing.

Please, review the HP official article/guide about such issues you experience now. Follow the appropriate steps that fit your case to attempt to fix the issue:

If you did try everything from the guide but nothing helped, I am afraid you will need to bring your computer (or ship it) to service - HP Authorized service center. If the computer is still under warranty, you will need to notify HP support first. If you are not sure where such a center is located, please contact HP support for assistance in finding one. Finally, it did start. It just needed a computer equivalent of a bed rest with the AC adapter attached. Even repeating the recommended troubleshooting options frequently helped.
