HP Envy x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-fc0000 (8Z8M0AV)

My HP Envy laptop is brand new, and less than 5 days old. The camera will not come on. Error message is that something is blocking the face whereas there is nothing.

Verify that the privacy cover is not active.

Yes... VERIFY the webcam is not COVERED with the privacy latch. You can move it with your finger to block or open the webcam from view. Usually if the webcam is "active" you will see a small LED light at the top of your screen, indicating it is working. Then just make sure the latch is set to the OPEN position for you to see what the webcam sees.
