I just clean installed my HP OMEN 15 in the second time around because I had an Windows Update Error (0x80080005) where I have no longer update windows due to corrupted system files which lead me to my final solution, to clean install my OS.
Well, the process of clean installation was smooth and okay because I have done it several times before.
When the Setup finished (my Region is correct), I observed my date and time is incorrect, then I corrected it manually. Then the Facebook, Twitter, and other sites say when I look on the time chat and time posted, I am 15hrs ahead.
I just want to know if my CMOS has a problem and if not, what is the solution? Thank you!

Hi! @ninjaboogie, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
Don't worry I'd like to help you out. Let me ask you a few questions in order to assist you better.
Were there any recent windows update on the PC?
Do you see any battery error on the laptop?
Let's continue with the troubleshooting steps now.
Update the BIOS on the PC to the latest version and check if it helps.
Update the BIOS using this link. Click Here
Try the steps recommended below.
Press Windows key + r ( + r).
Type services.msc.
Click Windows Time in the Name column.
Alternate click and then click Properties.
Change Startup type to Automatic (if it’s not already set to Automatic).
Click Start if the service isn’t started.
Also, try the steps recommended below.
- Press “Windows+X” and click on “control panel”.
- On the left hand side click on “clock, language and region”.
- Click on “change time zone”.
- And then click on the tab “internet time” and click on “change settings”.
- Check the box “synchronize with an internet time server” and also select the option “time.windows.com” from the drop down and click on “ok”and check if the issue persists.
If your computer clock displays time inaccurately, try removing and reinstalling Real-time clock with the system operating in Safe Mode. Use the following steps to perform this task:
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to reinstall the Real-time clock in normal boot mode. System damage may occur.
Restart the computer in Safe Mode. For more information about Safe Mode, see Safe Mode (Windows 10, 😎 (in English).
When your computer restarts, search for and open Device Manager.
The Device Manager window opens.
In the Device Manager window, double-click System devices.
Right-click System CMOS/real time clock, click Uninstall and then click OK in the Confirm Device Uninstall window.
When the System Settings Change window opens, click Yes to restart the computer.
