My HP Notebook 2000 wont power on. I'm almost sure it's the battery because I already replaced the battery once and it worked just fine, until it ran dead. I plugged it in and let it charge and nothing happens. There has been a couple times where it will either power on completely and run for a few minutes, or it turns on for a few seconds and then shuts back down.

@Itsme1

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

- Please shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F10 till you see System Configuration Menu ( BIOS )

If you are unable to get to the BIOS or if it shuts down in BIOS, then it is a Hardware issue and you need to get the computer serviced

You can follow the instructions I sent in the private message

Please check your private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile.

Next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope

Thank you 😊
