Pavilion 11
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

One day I went to turn on my laptop(HP Pavillipn 11 touch screen windows 😎 and the computer turns on with lights but the screen stays black or blank. So will other sources I tried the "pressing windows key and b key at the same time. Then the power button, releasing all button and waiting" then after doing so the screen shows a updating BIOS. A minute later it is another screen to continue setup. After the computer reboots it says flash block complete then the last screen says BIOS Recovery <500>. After looking up more solutions I also tried reseating the memory module. I am having no luck getting it back going. Please help me.

A black or blank screen is very unlikely to related in any way to the BIOS, so reflashing the BIOS was a waste of time.

More likely, since it means you're not even getting a Windows login screen, it indicates either the Windows filesystem has become corrupted or, more likely, the hard drive has died.

If your PC is new enough to support UEFI, you can use these steps to test the hard drive: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00439024

If not, to check the drive you have to follow these steps:
1) Press Esc key repeatedly, several times a second, while rebooting the laptop. Do NOT hold the key down, just press it over and over.
2) Eventually, you will see an HP Startup Menu -- that will look similar to the image below ...
HP Startup Menu.jpg
3) press the Function key for testing the hard drive (usually F2) and let it run.

Please report back the test results.
