My HP Pavilion computer will not let me sign in, I put in the correct email and password and it forces me to make a pin, once I try to make one it tells me I can’t and to either retry or skip for now, if I press retry it doesn’t work, if press skip for now it makes me sign in again, I put in the correct email and password, it forces me to make a pin, it doesn’t work, I press skip for now and it starts over again.

Hi @Clayton901201,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with signing in to your HP Pavilion computer. This can be frustrating, but there are several steps you can try to resolve the problem.
- Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve login issues. Restart your computer and see if the problem persists.
- Check Your Keyboard: Ensure that your keyboard is functioning correctly. Sometimes, incorrect keyboard inputs can lead to issues with entering passwords or PINs.
- Caps Lock: Make sure the Caps Lock key is not enabled when you're entering your password. Passwords are case-sensitive.
- Internet Connection: Ensure that your computer is connected to the internet. Some authentication systems require an internet connection to verify your credentials.
- Password Reset: If you continue to have trouble, consider resetting your Microsoft account password (assuming you are using a Microsoft account to log in). You can do this on the Microsoft website. After resetting your password, try logging in again.
- Use Safe Mode: Boot your computer into Safe Mode. In Safe Mode, you might be able to log in without being prompted to create a PIN. This can help you access your computer and troubleshoot the issue further.
- Create a New User Account: If the problem persists, try creating a new user account on your computer. To do this, you may need to access the computer's settings through Safe Mode or by using an installation media (like a Windows USB drive). Once you have created a new account, you can transfer your files from the old account to the new one.
- System Restore: If you recently made changes to your system settings or installed new software that might have caused the issue, you can try using System Restore to revert your computer to a previous state when it was working correctly.
Remember to back up any important data before attempting any major changes to your computer's settings or user accounts.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
