Smart Hard disk Error: The smart hard disk check has detected am imminent failure. To ensure not data loss, or please backup the content immediately and run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics. 

 

The He above was the error message on my HP Laptop screen

And have you? 

HP Recovery Media Creation.png

Backup and make Recovery Media and then be prepared to replace the HDD.

Make the Recovery and Backups before the Diagnostics test.

If in doubt please ask.

Thanks for your quick  response. To backup, do I need to get a new Hard disk drive? In other words, do I need to check the Hard disk drive with a new one before the diagnostic checks would work?
