Microsoft Windows 11

For the past 3 days my HP has been saying the same thing after every time I put my password in: This sign-in option is disabled because of failed sign-in attempts  or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign-in option or keep your device powered on for at least 2 hours and then try again.

I do not understand why I got this warning because I typed the wrong pin only twice and have typed the wrong pin multiple times before and this did not happen. I am sure that I did not shutdown the device repeatedly as I was working on it all day, non stop the evening it happened.

I left the laptop plugged in as I wasn't sure of what they meant by powered on for at least 2 hours and also left the laptop on for two hours.

I rang Microsoft they told me to shut the HP down, which I did, they then told me to restart it, which I did, still logged out.

I need to work on a project on my laptop and have a deadline, if anyone knows how to fix this please let me know as soon as possible.
