My Hp Omen 17-w053dx failed a quick test of the hard drive. How do I fix this?

One of your laptop's drives has failed and needs to be replaced.

It comes with a 256 GB NVMe SSD and a 1 TB hard drive.

It is probably the M.2 SSD if you can't get into Windows.

What I recommend you do is temporarily disconnect the hard drive and if you still get the failure code then you will have to replace the 256 GB NVMe SSD.

If the PC boots up and works fine, then you will have to replace the 2.5" drive if you want the additional storage.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive/SSD removal and replacement procedure.

If the M.2 SSD has failed, you have the option of installing one with a greater storage capacity than 256 GB.

You will also have to reinstall Windows on the SSD.
