Hi @Xq04,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry hear that you're experiencing an issue with your computer's operating system rather than a specific HP product feature. However, I can provide some general troubleshooting tips.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the computer completely.
  • Disconnect the power cord (and remove the battery if it's a laptop).
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge all residual power.
  • Reconnect the power cord (and the battery for laptops), then power on the PC.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Attempt to boot the computer by repeatedly pressing the F8 key before Windows loads.
  • Select "Safe Mode" or "Safe Mode with Networking" from the Advanced Boot Options menu.

System Restore:

  • If you can access Safe Mode, use System Restore to revert the system to an earlier point when it was working.
  • Go to "Control Panel" > "Recovery" > "Open System Restore".

Automatic Repair from a Bootable Drive:

  • If Safe Mode doesn't work, use a Windows installation media (USB or DVD).
  • Boot from the installation media (you may need to change boot order in BIOS/UEFI).
  • Choose "Repair your computer" and select "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Repair".

Take care and have an amazing day!
