My Victus 15 Gaming Laptop, when turned on, opens C:WINDOWS\system32\LogonUI.exe and says my pin isn't available, I click to set up and after signing in, the home screen opens but the hotbar isn't visible, the windows key doesn't respond, and the home screen resets every few seconds. Closing any tab I try to open after making many attempts to resolve the issue, I activated safe mode with the command window, but it then returned me to the system 32 log on UI, and now I cannot log in, as it says I'm not connected to the Interne, I'm stuck.

Hi @GabrielStewart,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • Did this start after a Windows update, driver install, or sudden shutdown?
  • Are you signed in with a Microsoft account or a local account?
  • Do you have important files on the laptop that aren’t backed up?
  • Can you still access the Advanced Startup / Recovery menu (the blue screen with troubleshooting options)?
  • Do you have access to another device to download tools or sign in to your Microsoft account if needed?

This looks scary, but it’s usually caused by corrupted system files or a failed update, and it’s often fixable without losing personal files.

Troubleshooting steps to try (no login required)

1. Get into Windows Recovery (WinRE)

If you’re not already there:

  1. Turn the laptop on
  2. As soon as you see the HP logo, hold the power button to shut it off
  3. Repeat this 2–3 times
  4. On the next start, Windows should load Preparing Automatic Repair
  5. Choose Advanced options

2. Run Startup Repair

From Advanced options:

  • Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Repair
  • Let Windows attempt to repair login and boot components

3. Try System Restore (recommended)

If available:

  • Advanced options → System Restore
  • Choose a restore point from before the issue started
  • This does not delete personal files

I hope this helps.
