Hello @Hahel
Welcome !
I will post several steps to follow, please prepare yourself some time for some troubleshooting and testing.
Please, check this article -> testing and calibrating the battery >> https://support.hp.com/bg-en/document/c04700771
Follow the steps in it to check and calibrate the battery.
How old is your computer (respectfully the battery) ?
Back to Windows:
- Click on the Start Button
- Type "Device Manager" in the start search box & open the Device Manager
- Look for Batteries and expand it by click on the + symbol on the left
- Right Click on "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" & uninstall
- This Battery driver should get reinstalled automatically when you restart the Notebook again
- Please RESTART the Notebook -> here is how to do it in Windows 10 >> https://www.digitalcitizen.life/7-ways-shut-down-or-restart-windows-10-pc-or-device
Eventually, press and hold the Power-ON Button for full 1 Minute
- Once you start back your computer, ensure your PC is online (connected to the Internet)
- Go to Control Panel -> Device Manager
- Find the "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" under batteries section
- Right click it and choose "Update Driver Software"
- Use the option to "Search automatically for updated driver" and use the online option / Windows Update
- Restart the PC
If the issue persists try updating BIOS on your PC and check if it helps => https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c00042629
Let me know how it goes. Thanks 👍

That is a strange results because there is no way for a 6 years old battery to be OK.
Are you familiar with Linux ? Although I think it could be a battery problem, I would like to rule out software issue.
Can you make a bootable Ubuntu USB pendrive, boot from it and see how it goes there.
Here are instructions how to make it >> https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Boot-and-Lockup/Startup-disk-error/m-p/7519579/highlight/fals...

Hi,
I have Avira Prime and in the battery info tab is showing battery health 72%.
So I believe the battery is dying. My question is: I can buy a new battery or is not worth it?
Thank you!
