Product: HP Chromebook 14-db0000

My chromebook has a blank screen on start up, when I lift the lid the LED light blinks for a while then shuts off, the screen remains blank.

 

This happened out of the blue, any ideas? I've tried resetting it to no avail. Is it a problem with the lead or battery?

I discovered what the problem is, it was the lead.
