Hi @TB1278

  1. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Turn off your device completely.
    • Disconnect any peripheral devices (like external hard drives, USB drives, etc.).
    • Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery if it's removable.
    • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to perform a hard reset.
    • Reassemble the battery (if removed) and plug the power adapter back in.
    • Turn on the device and observe if the issue persists.
  2. Check the Display Connections:

    • If you're using a desktop with an external monitor, ensure the monitor is properly connected to the computer and turned on. Check the cable connections to ensure they are secure.
  3. Boot into Safe Mode:

    • Turn off your computer.
    • Turn it on and repeatedly press the F8 key (or Shift + F8) before the Windows logo appears.
    • If successful, you'll enter the boot options menu where you can select "Safe Mode."
    • If Windows loads correctly in Safe Mode, you might have a driver issue that needs to be resolved.
  4. Update Drivers:

    • If the screen issue doesn’t occur in Safe Mode, there might be an issue with the display driver. Go to Device Manager and update your display adapter's driver.
    • It’s helpful to also ensure all other drivers are updated, especially those related to the display.
  5. Check BIOS Settings:

    • Access the BIOS settings by restarting your computer and pressing the appropriate key during startup (usually F10, Esc, Del, or another key specific to your model).
    • Ensure that the display settings are set correctly and that there is nothing indicating a hardware fault.
  6. Perform a System Restore:

    • If the issue started recently, consider performing a System Restore to a point when the system was operating properly.
