Hi @Number42,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I Understand that your concern, don’t worry I will help you with this .

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  1. What is the exact HP laptop model and Windows version?
  2. What does the blue screen say any error code?
  3. When did this start happening?
    • After a Windows update, driver update, or software installation?
  4. Can you access Safe Mode?
    • Press F8 or Shift + F8 during boot (or use Windows recovery options)
  5. Have you tried any recovery media (USB or system restore) yet?

Troubleshooting steps to try

1. Boot into Safe Mode

This helps isolate whether a driver or startup program is causing the BSOD:

  1. Power on and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then F11 for recovery options
  2. Choose Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Enable Safe Mode
  3. If it boots in Safe Mode, uninstall any recent drivers or software that might be causing issues

2. Use Windows Startup Repair

  1. Boot into Advanced Startup (Esc → F11)
  2. Choose Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Repair
  3. Follow the prompts to let Windows attempt automatic repair

3. Check for corrupted system files

From Safe Mode with Command Prompt:

sfc /scannow

  • This will scan and repair corrupted system files that could trigger BSODs

4. Disconnect peripherals

  • Remove USB drives, external monitors, printers, and other devices
  • Sometimes a faulty peripheral causes boot crashes

5. Use System Restore

  • If Safe Mode is accessible:
    • Control Panel → Recovery → Open System Restore
    • Choose a restore point before the blue screens started

I hope this helps.
