@Debbie3212, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a Computer That Won't Turn On!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP Digital Entertainment Center or similar HP product won't switch on, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Power Button Check:

  • Ensure that when you press the On button on the front of the device, the HP On/Standby (power) button lights up and the front display activates.

Hardware Sound and Indicators:

  • Listen for the hard disk drive and fans spinning, accompanied by a beep indicating proper operation.

Power and Cable Check:

  • Verify that the power cord and all cables are securely connected to the HP Digital Entertainment Center.
  • Ensure the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet. Test the outlet by plugging in another item.

Green LED Indicator:

  • Check inside the rear fan for a green LED, which signals that AC power is available.

Monitor Connection:

  • Make sure your TV or monitor is properly connected, plugged in, and turned on.

Overheating and Blockage:

  • Confirm that the device is not overheating and that vents are clear of any obstructions.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
