i’ve had my envy laptop and charger for nearly a year and i keep the charger plugged in and on whenever it’s in my room which is mostly. So i was using my laptop and the charger was plugged in and the outlet was on and i assumed it was charging as it hadn’t been on charge all day when i was using it and i get a 10% battery left warning so i put the charger into a different outlet thinking that the was the problem but it wasn’t and the charger didn’t seem to be working at all and won’t charge my laptop (which is now dead). it is not the problem of the outlets and i don’t have another charger to use in the mean time

@kelsey_grant1 If the charger didn't work on an alternate wall outlet and you don't have any other adapter to try, I suggest you perform a hard reset using the steps from this link and if nothing works, you may want to get the charger replaced, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
here's how private messages work: Click here for details.
P.S: Welcome to HP Community 😉
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
