@Kudziwisdom, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

We see that The screen shows:"We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer."

This is an issue where a Windows update fails to install correctly, and the system is attempting to revert the changes. Sometimes, this process can take a long time or get stuck. Here are a few steps you can try:
Wait It Out (Up to 1 Hour)

  • If the loading animation is moving, Windows may still be working in the background.
  • Give it 30 minutes to 1 hour. If nothing changes, proceed to the next step.

Force Restart

  • Press and hold the power button until the system turns off.
  • Wait 10 seconds.
  • Turn it back on.

If it boots back into the same screen and stays stuck again, continue with the steps below.

Boot into Safe Mode

  1. Turn off the PC by holding the power button.
  2. Turn it on and force shut down as soon as the HP logo appears. Repeat this 3 times.
  3. On the 4th boot, Windows should enter Recovery Mode.
  4. Go to:
  • Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart
  • Then select Safe Mode with Networking.

Once in Safe Mode:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
  • Click View update history > Uninstall updates
  • Remove the most recent update that failed.

Automatic Repair (if Safe Mode doesn't work)

From the Recovery screen:

  • Choose Advanced Options > Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
