Hi @VictorPalma,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop suddenly won't turn on and shows no signs of power, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the Power Supply:

  • Ensure the Power Adapter is Connected: Verify that the power adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and the power outlet. If the adapter is damaged, try using a different one if you have a compatible spare.
  • Inspect the Power Cord and Adapter: Look for any visible signs of damage or fraying. If possible, test with a different power cord or adapter to rule out issues with the power supply.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect All External Devices: Unplug all peripherals and accessories.
  • Remove the Battery (if removable): Disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery (if it's removable), and then press and hold the power button for about 15-30 seconds. Reconnect the power adapter (without the battery) and try turning the laptop on again.

Check for LED Indicators:

  • Look for Any Lights or Sounds: Check if there are any LED indicators on the laptop or if you hear any sounds (like fan noise) when you press the power button. Any signs of life could indicate where the problem might be.

Try a Different Power Outlet:

  • Test with Another Outlet: Ensure that the power outlet you're using is working by plugging in another device or trying a different outlet.

Test with a Different Battery:

  • If Possible: If you have access to a compatible battery, try using it to see if the laptop powers on.

Inspect the Laptop for Physical Damage:

  • Check for Damage: Look for any obvious signs of damage, such as cracks, loose parts, or overheating.

Remove External Components:

  • Disconnect Peripherals: Unplug all external devices (USB drives, external keyboards, etc.) and try starting the laptop with just the power adapter connected.

Check for Screen Issues:

  • Ensure It's Not a Display Problem: Sometimes, the laptop might be working but the screen may be malfunctioning. Try connecting an external monitor to see if you get any display output.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
