Product: Pavilion DV6000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista

When I turn on my lap top, it beeps 3 times, it turns on, but the screen doesn't turn on and is black. I connected it to the TV monitor, but no result.

Someone please help me.

1x long, 2x short Indicates a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the screen. GPU is defective.This is a well known problem with the dv6000/dv9000 series.Rather amazing yours lasted this long.

 

Do a search for gpu reflow to get an idea of the magnitude.

OR- do a search for dv6000 gpu reflow:
