My HP laptop computer won’t boot up without a recovery code.  I tried to look up support with the 3D code on my laptop but it had expired.  Does that mean you are not giving support to my model anymore?  Is there anyway to get files off this laptop?

I understand your HP notebook won’t boot without a recovery code, and the code you had has expired. Here’s what you can do:

Recovery options

HP provides recovery codes for BitLocker or system recovery for supported devices. If the code has expired, HP may no longer be able to provide that exact code. You can still attempt a USB recovery drive using another PC:

Download the HP Cloud Recovery Tool from HP Support.

Follow the instructions to create a bootable USB recovery drive for your model.

 

Accessing files

If the hard drive is intact, you can remove it and connect it to another computer using a USB-to-SATA adapter to recover your files.

Do not attempt to reinstall Windows until your files are backed up if they are important.
