Go notebook stream
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I wanted to reset my notebook because I was giving it to my sister, I tried to factory reset it, after about 62% it said there was a problem. I’ve tried the bios update, that didn’t work. I’ve tried all the different command prompts and that wouldn’t work. Now my notebook won’t turn on to windows, it looks as though it’s repeatdly restarting and the main windows username page won’t come on. Just the hp logo and loading, then restarts. Now I don’t know any other options !!

You don't.

It is a bootable device and perhaps ESC and F9 toocate and install from it.

Hi

1st Please try a Hard Reset
This is valid for most notebooks, and some desktops.
Press and Hold the PWR off button for 4 seconds to force a PWR off.
Unplug from the wall.
IF you see a battery compartment door, then your computer has a removable battery.

IF NOT then you do not have a removable battery.

Remove any removable battery.
Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the reset.

(Re-insert any battery you removed).

Turn off the computer.
Disconnect all connected devices and cables, Media Drives, USB drives, printers, & faxes.
Remove media from internal drives, and remove any recently added internal hardware.
Do not disconnect the monitor, keyboard, mouse, or power cord.

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second,
until the Choose an option screen is displayed, and then continue.

On the Choose an Option screen, click Troubleshoot, and work your way through the screens.

If you have already tried the above, or they fail, please ask again.

I don’t think my notebook has a removable battery, just has screws on the back. I’ve already tried resetting using the f11 method. I’ve tired all the options on resetting pc, remove all files, keep files etc. And all go up to halfway then say there is a problem

In that case consider a fresh install by searching

Down load Windows ISO and try and make a DVD/USB install media.

Ok i’ll Try that. Once I’ve downloaded it on a usb, how would I open it up on my laptop from the recovery system menu ?
