HI @Hreavis09,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your HP Stream laptop. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if possible).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  • Reconnect the battery and power adapter, then try turning it on again.

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • If the laptop powers on but doesn’t boot into Windows, try booting into Safe Mode:
    • Turn on the laptop and repeatedly press F8 or Shift + F8 until the recovery menu appears.
    • Select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings, then choose Safe Mode.

Use Windows Recovery Environment:

  • If Safe Mode doesn’t work, try accessing the recovery environment:
    • Turn on the laptop and force it to shut down by holding the power button.
    • Repeat this 2-3 times until you see the Automatic Repair screen.
    • From there, choose Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • If it still won’t turn on, check for any visible hardware issues, such as a damaged power adapter or loose connections.

Consider BIOS Recovery:

  • If you can access BIOS (press F10 during startup), check if the system recognizes the hard drive and settings are correct. You might also find a BIOS recovery option there.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
