When I first turn my laptop on my keyboard works fine, once it warms up and I start using in the keyboard stops working. I feel like after the computer warms up to much the keyboard shuts off and I cant get it to work again untill I let the laptop set off for at least an hour.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!

Most of the Keyboard issues can be resolved by removing the existing keyboard driver and then installing a compatible driver. Here is how to do it:

Please ensure that the notebook has the latest BIOS installed. If you are unsure you may use the steps available here to update the BIOS.

1.) In Windows, search for and open "Device Manager".

2.) Double-click "Keyboards".

3.) Right-click the keyboard device and select "Uninstall"

Once the driver is removed, restart the computer, Windows will automatically install the latest keyboard driver.

Let me know how it goes!

Are you having issue with the built in keyboard or an external keyboard?

Could you also run a hardware diagnostics test on Keyboard and let me know the results. Instructions on how to run a component test for keyboard can be found here
