Windows 10

Age of PC: approx. 3 years

So, the problem is that the laptop randomly stopped taking the password (I have reset my microsoft password twice and been able to log into other devices just fine). So I tried to factory reset, but it just gives me an error message after about 10% (I've tried this about 4 times). I'm really wanting to factory reset it at this point but if you have solutions for the login, that would be great!
