Hi @SkEpLER,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 0xc000000e typically indicates a problem with your laptop's boot configuration data (BCD) or an issue with the boot device. This error can prevent your laptop from starting up properly. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue:

1. Perform a Hard Reboot

  • Completely power off your laptop.
  • Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Hold the power button down for 15-30 seconds to discharge any remaining power.
  • Reinsert the battery (if applicable) and plug in the power adapter.
  • Turn on the laptop to see if the error persists.

2. Boot into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)

  • Power on your laptop and immediately start pressing the F8, F11, or Esc key (depending on your model) to access the recovery options.
  • If your laptop doesn’t show the recovery options, you may need to use a Windows installation media.
  • Select Troubleshoot from the options.
  • Choose Advanced options to access more repair tools.

3. Use Automatic Repair

  • From the Advanced options menu, choose Startup Repair.:
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to let Windows attempt to repair any issues with the boot process.

4. Repair Boot Configuration Data (BCD)

  • From the Advanced options menu, select Command Prompt.
  • Enter the following commands one at a time and press Enter after each:
  • These commands will attempt to repair the Master Boot Record (MBR), fix the boot sector, scan for Windows installations, and rebuild the BCD.
  • After running these commands, restart your laptop to check if the issue is resolved.

5. Check for Hardware Issues

  • If available, run hardware diagnostics from the BIOS/UEFI or use HP's built-in diagnostics tools (often accessible via Esc or F2 during startup).
  • Ensure that all internal connections (e.g., hard drive, RAM) are secure. If you’re comfortable doing so, open the laptop and check these components.

6. Restore or Reset Your PC

  • From the Advanced options menu, select System Restore if you have a restore point available.
  • If System Restore does not resolve the issue, you may need to perform a Reset this PC operation. This option is available in the Troubleshoot menu, but be aware that it might remove your personal files if you choose the "Remove everything" option.

7. Use Windows Installation Media

  • If you don't have Windows installation media, you can create it using another PC and a USB drive. Download the Windows Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft website and follow the instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
