I don't have that computer. Mine is hp notebook 15-r101na energy star and I've had it 6.5 years, I switched it back on and system restore says no files or settings were changed so I will just leave it, thanks anyway

Hello @Laptop112
It does not matter if you have this or that computer. I just want to help you, because you may have a hard disk error, which can be diagnosed with HP Diagnostics. The video is an example of how the software from HP works.

Hi again, thank you for your help. I have done a quick test and it came back with passed on everything, so I thought I would do the extensive system test, which should take 2 hours and it's saying 4 hours 40 minutes to complete, so it works I suppose, but it is really slow on starting and has started freezing completely and won't load YouTube quickly like it used to

@Laptop112 wrote:Hi again, Sorry is hard disk the same as hard drive, I couldn't see hard disk anywhere so I did a hard drive quick test before the extensive test and that said passed as well. Thanks again
Typo, yes I mean hard drive
So the quick test passed, that's good.
OK, now dive a little bit deeper ...
Please start windows and login

(5) Question: why do you want to do a system restore ? Please explain. Did you have problems with Windows before ?
Please report your results
