  • The startup screen only loads a repair disk scam and has not left the screen since it shows repair might take an hour but it has been longer than that

Whether or not the repair process is a "scam" depends on how you define that --but basically, it means Windows has detected drive errors and is attempting to fix them.  Problem is, at least in my experience, it NEVER does fix them -- so basically, it IS a scam.

 

This nearly always means the primary drive is failing, will need to be replaced, and Windows reinstalled on the PC.
