Hi @Lappee,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Run Automatic Repair
- On the "Automatic Repair" screen, select the Advanced options button.
- Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to let Windows attempt to fix any issues.
Perform a System Restore
- On the "Automatic Repair" screen, select the Advanced options button.
- Choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options > System Restore.
- Select a restore point before the issue began, and follow the on-screen instructions to restore your system.
Check for Hardware Issues
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu screen appears.
- Press F2 to open the System Diagnostics.
- Run the comprehensive tests for hardware components to ensure no hardware issues are causing the problem.
Reset Your PC
- On the "Automatic Repair" screen, select the Advanced options button.
- Choose Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.
- You can select either Keep my files or Remove everything based on your preference.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your laptop to a default state.
Reinstall Windows
- If the above steps fail, you might need to perform a clean installation of Windows.
- You can use a Windows installation media (USB or DVD) to reinstall the OS.
- Be sure to backup any important data before performing a clean install, as it will erase all data on your laptop.
I hope this helps.
