Hello,
When the my laptop got delivered, I tried returning it within days because of how slow it is. On the phone, they made me do a free hardware check up and nothing was wrong with it, and in order to do a software checkup, I had to pay a 100$ fee and I did not have the money on me at that time so they refused to return my extremely slow new laptop! It's been a bit more than a year and I am still struggling with it! i have no idea what to do with it. I am so disappointed because I like the laptop so I dont understand why it's so slow or why I couldn't return it immediately. It keeps on slowing me down during school; it takes forever for me to log in to a class or do an exam, submit assignments or open multiple tabs!!! It has driven me crazy but more-so now with the pandemic! It made me cry multiple times as it freezes and lags during school times. Also, for some reason now everytime it restarts, it deletes everything on the laptop. It's causing me a huge deal of distress. What am I supposed to do now??? I need help.
Below are the characteristics of the laptop:

I don't know what is your HP Pavilion x360 - 14t Touch Laptop. From provided information, I can say it is a SLOW machine because
- It only has slow CPU/Processor namely Intel® Pentium® Silver N5000 (1.1 GHz, up to 2.7GHz),
- It has tiny amount of RAM, only 4 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB),
- It has bottom end, slow HDD : 500 GB 5400 rpm SATA
Because I don't know what is your HP Pavilion x360 - 14t Touch Laptop therefore I can't help much. One thing very expensive to change: CPU but TWO things you can do in general:
- Upgrade RAM to its max to avoid pageing/swapping to slow HDD,
- Upgrade HDD to SSD to speed up read/write
Regards.
