My laptop is updating, however it has been 3 hours already and it is still 20%. But i can't turn it

My laptop is updating, however it has been 3 hours already and it is still 20%. But i can't turn it off 

However normally it was quick, i i don't know what's wrong with it this time

@Mei5 I recommend you restart the device if not done already and, perform a hard reset using the below steps, when done, install all updates from the windows update, then check if that works and keep me posted with the results:

Let's perform a power reset as per HP standards:

• Ensure your laptop is OFF.
• Unplug all the external devices (If any).
• Disconnect the power charger from the computer, and remove the battery.
• Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds.
• Connect the power supply (power adapter).
• Press the power button to turn on your laptop.
• Then put your battery back.
