HP Recommended

My laptop was doing fine and suddenly it shut off? Like went completely unresponsive for a couple hours,and then later on it proceeded to start powering off and on,making the noise in which it turns on/off repeatedly and starting up over and over.. I can't really do anything about it. It doesn't stop until you take the charger out and let it die and once you do it wouldn't even give a charging signal or the light would turn orange.. Then once it powered on again it continued on. Its completely screwed up. How can I fix this?
