HP 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

As I was trying to access videos that I had just put on my laptop, I had a pop up that said that "Windows could not find" with that specific file. I then tried to open older videos on my laptop and I received the same message. I tried old photo files as well and received the same message. I can open the photos on Paint and I know that the files are there. I just don't know how to actually access them. And I don't know why windows says that it can't find them

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you run the SFC scan and check if that helps

You can refer to this Link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

If the issue persists please try creating a new User Account and check if the issue persists

The SFC scan did not fix the problem. Creating a new account and sharing the files to the new account works. I can open the files on the new account. Is there a way to make the files open on my original account?

@Nebulae

Unfortunately the original Account seems to be corrupted that is why it's not working.

You will need to use the new Account since SFC scan could not fix the Windows issue

Thank you
