My laptop which has Windows 11 on it will not complete the recovery process and I am trying to get the recovery media for my system.

See if your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool which will reinstall Windows, the drivers and the software for your notebook.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:  You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

Since you have to use the utility on another PC, you have to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window to proceed to create the recovery media.

54J83AV is not the product number of your specific notebook.

It is for the entire model series of more than 100 different models.

If you don't see a different product number on the notebook's bottom cover or in the BIOS's system information window, enter the serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the specific product number for your notebook.

You need to also enter #ABA after the product number in the tool's search window.

Thank you for the help. I downloaded the HP Recovery Tool but I get an authentication error, time lapse , and the App freezes.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with any cloud recovery tool issues.

You do have another option and that would be to use the Microsoft media creation tool to create a W11 USB installation flash drive (2nd option) and clean install W11.

After W11 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page:

The drivers on this page would also be valid for the 54J83AV product number.
