I'm getting a weird situation right now.
I haven't been using the laptop for about 2 years, and I just wanted to turn it on and see some images. Here's the situation:
My laptop won't even power up when it's plugged into the power adapter, the charging indicator light is on and orange. When I tried to press the power button and hold it, the charging light turned white and suddenly changed to orange, and then the light was off. The power light wouldn't turn on no matter how I press it.
However, when it's not connected to the power adapter, it can actually power up and I can hear the fan working, but the screen is still black and I can't even open the keyboard light.
Could somebody tell me what's the problem and how to fix it? If it's a software issue, I think maybe I can reset the BIOS by operating the power button and the adapter. If it's the hardware problem, I think it's the driver or the memory that's not working.
I'm getting crazy right now. There're so many important info on the computer. If somebody's ever met this situation, please tell me. I appreciate it.

Hi @Ian180,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing black screen issues with your HP ENVY X360 - 15-Aq267cl.
Please follow the steps listed below for BIOS recovery:
1. Turn off the computer and keep the power adapter plugged in.
2. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the power button for 2 to 3 seconds.
3. Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
4. The HP BIOS Update screen displays, and the recovery begins automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts to continue the start up to complete the recovery.

To check, open the laptop case and remove the battery, clean the contacts and try replugging it and try booting. If the laptop turns on then there could have been a connector issue and that's why the laptop was not booting. Otherwise, consider replacing the battery of your laptop.
