Hi @Karan2545

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your laptop is unable to complete the reset process because it needs Windows installation or recovery media.

Here’s how you can create and use this media to reset your laptop safely:

Step 1: Create Windows Installation or Recovery Media

On a working Windows computer, go to the official Microsoft site to download the Windows Media Creation Tool:
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows10
(If your laptop uses Windows 11, search for the Windows 11 media creation tool instead.)

Run the tool and follow instructions to create a bootable USB drive (at least 8 GB) with Windows installation files.

Step 2: Boot Your Laptop from the USB Media

Insert the bootable USB drive into your laptop.

Restart the laptop and enter the Boot Menu or BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing Esc, F9, F10, or Del immediately after powering on).

Select the USB drive as the boot device and press Enter.

Step 3: Use the Recovery Options

When the Windows Setup screen appears, click Next.

Select Repair your computer (usually bottom-left).

Go to Troubleshoot > Reset this PC.

Follow the prompts to reset Windows, choosing whether to keep your files or remove everything.

Additional Tips:

Make sure your laptop is plugged into power throughout this process.

Back up any important data if possible before resetting.

If the laptop still does not boot or reset, note any error messages and I can help further.

If you provide your laptop model and Windows version, I can give more specific instructions. Let me know how it goes!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
