- Hi, got a new hp intel Core i3 4Gb Ram 1Tb storage but since I set it up, it’s been lagging, taking up a minute or more to respond however after installing some apps on it, it freezes almost as I use it, 5mins tops and it will freeze. Some of the app installed on it include Firefox, google chrome, VirtualBox and some anti virus. I checked a number of platforms and followed some of their suggestions like turning off all start up app, but that didn’t work, tried to reorder the boot settings on bios but couldn’t find the ‘boot’ option. My hp laptop freezes within five to ten minutes of start up and even when I close the screen for a bit and open it, the system seems to be working alright again but not longer than five to ten minutes at most before it freezes again. I think it has something to do with its 1.20GHz 1.19GHz processor. Please what can I do to make it work properly? It’s been bugging me real bad since I got it. Practically can’t do any work on it, I’ll be glad if I can get help here. Thanks.

What is your machine ? with intel core i3 4Gb ram it does not have enough room to run and it has to page/swap out/in to dead on the 1TB storage probably only a slow 5400rpm HDD. VirtualBox and some anti virus are the killers because they run all the time.
