Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
My HP elite book 840 g3 was corrupted due to the automatic shutdown of the pc while working on solidworks practice questions under a low battery. What do you suggest I do

Hi @Emmyking08,
A sudden shutdown usually corrupts files rather than causing a virus. Try in this order:
- If Windows starts, open Command Prompt (Admin) and run sfc /scannow, then DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
- Run a Microsoft Defender full scan to rule out malware.
- If Windows won't start, power on and press F11 (or let it fail 3 times) → Troubleshoot → Advanced options → Startup Repair / System Restore.
- As a last option, back up your files and use Reset this PC.
Tell us what you see on screen if it doesn't boot.
