have run hardrive check, extensive check and its failed with code FAILURE ID : OGDB1R-76M9AC-MFPV7G-61CRO3 ... it is only able to turn on and says no bios and no operating system. no windows key and bkey function unless i have held the power for not enough/too much seconds each time. anyhow. i dont know what to do next. ive checked on the hp page putting in code and product id in every search bit but i am not sure what to do next. i have the product specific page open and can see and download new drivers ect.. just not sure if this is what to do as have not found anywhere that turns my failure id into an action i do next.. i gather from my attempts to discover that next step that i may have to buy a new hard drive... or i may be able to get some coding on a penstick and let that talk to mt laptop and get it reccovered .. or may be i butchered all i read.. any help in gaining the next step on what it is to do /try ? thank you for your time everyone. thanks. k x x

The Hard Drive error is an indication that the hard drive has failed or is about to fail. You will need to replace the hard drive with a like unit and use your HP Recovery Media to return the computer to a factory like state. If you didn't create your HP Recovery Media when you first setup your computer, you may have to purchase this media from HP.

Hi
HP Pavilion 15-n267sa Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) - Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure
It came with Windows 8.1 (64 bits) ??
If so then you can download a Microsoft version here... (upgraded to 10) ??
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
On a Hard Drive of 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA type and capacity.
Then more of less as lasvegaswireman states.
If in doubt please ask.
