i TURNED ON MY LAPTOP AND GOT A MESSAGE SAYING THERE WAS NO BOOT FOUND.  i FOLLOWED THE STEPS AND DID A HARD DRIVE TEST TO THESE RESULTS

 

SMART CHECK - PASSED

SHORT DST - FAILED

 

FAILURE ID ME6022-7G26G1-MFPV6K-60V403

PRODUCT ID - J9H22UA#ABA

Hi,

The failure means the hard drive has failed the short test and needs to be replaced.

So you will need a 2.5" Hard drive from your preferred brand such as Seagate, WD...

Example:

On page 45 of the service manual, you can see the steps to replace the drive. You will need to reinstall the OS on the drive.
