I created a recovery USB for my HP ZBook 15 G5 using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. After the recovery media was completed, I browsed through the files to inspect the preloaded drivers.
Inside the Drivers > Graphics folder, I only found two subfolders: one for Intel and another for AMD graphics. There is no NVIDIA folder or any files related to NVIDIA graphics drivers.
Since my ZBook 15 G5 uses the motherboard labeled as “DSC P2 4GB I7-8850H WIN,” which I believe includes a discrete NVIDIA GPU, I was expecting the recovery USB to include the NVIDIA graphics driver as well.
Is this normal behavior? Will the HP Image Assistant install the NVIDIA driver after Windows installation, or do I need to manually download and install it? If the system is supposed to include NVIDIA drivers, why are they not present in the recovery USB?
Thanks.
