I have accidentally deleted the content of the “D” drive where the factory installed Recovery software resided. How do I restore the “D” drive’s Recovery Software or where can I get the factory install software?

Hi:
Unfortunately, you cannot restore the recovery partition.
Since your notebook originally came with W8.1, that was the operating system the recovery partition had on it.
If you ever have to reinstall W10, you can do that for free by making bootable USB installation media with the media creation tool from the link below.
Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)
After you boot from the installation media and get past the 'Install Now' screen, you will be asked what version of W10 you want to install. Select the version of W10 that you upgraded to.
Then you will be asked to enter a product key. Select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and activate once you are connected to the internet.
After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
If you want the original W8.1 recovery media, HP no longer sells it, but you can buy it from this vendor at the link below.
