Hi:

The cloud recovery tool doesn't work for your model since it was made prior to 2016.

It only works on select model PC's made in 2016 or later.

Yours was made in 2015.

You will need to reinstall W10 with the ISO file created by the Microsoft Media Creation tool, or order W10 recovery media from your notebook's support page.

I have used the Media Creation Tools many times to install Windows 10.  Just wanted to see how Cloud Recovery worked.

I thought my computer was built in 2016.  Where did you get 2015?

The fourth number in the serial number would be the year the notebook was manufactured.

My guess is that it is a 5 for yours.

Notebooks that are supported by the HP cloud recovery tool have the cloud recovery tool info link right on the support page.

Your notebook's model series doesn't.

Here is a link to the support page for a model series that was made in 2016 and as you can see, there is an info link for the cloud recovery tool.
