HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello I've recently purchased HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2146AX Laptop which came with Pre-Installed Windows 11 Operating System. I need to backup the OS and create a USB Recovery Key but the HP Recover Manager is not avilabe online. So please guide me on what can be done as the Normal backup is already done via the "Create A Recover Drive" option which built-in to Windows 11.

Hi:

HP does not offer the recovery manager software for your notebook.

Did you see if your PC is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool?

Cloud Recovery (cloud-recovery.s3-website-us-west-1.amazonaws.com)

You would enter this product number 552W3PA# and the 3 letters after the # sign.

If it is not supported, the only suggestion I can offer would be to use the free Macrium Reflect software to make a system image and store it on a portable hard drive.  You want the software on the left side of the page under the Backup at Home section.

Macrium Software | Reflect Free Edition

The software will have you also make a bootable USB recovery drive that you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.

You can update the system image as needed.

Hi, Thank you for your response. Before posting here, I've already gone through the HP Cloud Recovery Process and my system is supported. I'm able to create the media but I don't know weather using that will restore the factory installed OS with all drivers or just a fresh copy of windows. A factory installed OS is aleays tuned as per the system, that's the reason I need the same OS.

Also I've already created a Recovery Key using the built-in option, so just that this days, the OEM offers you their original OS online, I just need to make sure that the OS Downloaded using HP Cloud Recovery Tool is the one that is installed in my system.

I've the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, model with 16 GB 3200 MHz RAM, Nvedia GForece RTX 3050 4 GB GDDR6 GPU, 144 Refresh Rate 300 Nits Brightness Display.

You're very welcome.

The cloud recovery tool is supposed to install the original W10 OS, drivers and software that came with the notebook.

Using it would be equivalent to a factory reset.

Ok, I'll download it, make a USB and will try installing it in a VM.
