Need a .bin for BIOS F.36 Recovery Spectrex360 13-aw0030ng (AWOW3EA#ABD)

I can not extract the .bin to put it on my USB Stick, so I need the .bin. I stopped the BIOS Update unfortunately :O(

I tried everything in the last two days, but I can not find the .bin. I have sp163274.exe, but the Recovery Tool does not open on my old PC.

@Sylvia1967, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It seems like you're looking to recover the BIOS for your HP Spectre x360 laptop. Unfortunately, I'm unable to directly provide BIOS files or .bin files for download. However, I can guide you through some steps which might help you resolve the issue:

HP Recovery Procedures: If you halted a BIOS update, you may attempt a BIOS recovery. This can often be prompted by powering on the laptop while holding the Windows + B keys (for certain HP models), and then pressing the power button. This initiates a BIOS recovery using a backup copy stored on the Hard Drive.

Create a USB Recovery Drive:

  • You can create a recovery USB drive by using another computer. Make sure that it has a compatible operating system that can run the BIOS recovery tool provided in the softpaq you downloaded (sp163274.exe).
  • Typically, to prepare a recovery drive, you would extract the BIOS update package on a compatible PC, which should then provide options to put the BIOS on a USB stick.
  • If the executable does not open on your old PC, try using the compatibility mode by right-clicking on the executable, selecting Properties, then the Compatibility tab, and choosing a previous version of Windows to run this application.

Remember, directly modifying or interrupting a BIOS installation can be risky, and continuously attempting recovery procedures when unsure can lead to further issues. If you proceed carefully with these steps, it should mitigate your concerns.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
