You're very welcome.
Regarding the file unpacking...yes, that is why I wrote yesterday not to be concerned with any messages 7-zip indicates during the file unzipping.
The driver folder with the drivers is intact.

Hello
So i've finally managed to get to the pc and tried those updates. Two of them worked - the ACPI\VEN_14F1 (1st) installed Conexant I2S Audio Codec (and made new section for audio drivers ofc). It even installed (or made the system download) the b&o control panel. But still no sound (and the pannel is "gutted" - on one page there should be sliders but they are still missing) - pretty much how it was before i tried to repait the nb. The system tray still has the OS speaker icon with X and popup message "no driver installed". Tried (jic) to have the os repair the problem but no go.
The third one (ACPI\OVTI9728) installed as well and it was indeed something for the camera sensor.
The second one though (ACPI\VEN_8086) sadly did not installed using that pack linked on the windows catalogue (there was only one with those search terms) and it's now the only one missing.
If i broaden the search for " ACPI\VEN_8086&DEV_22A8" there are more results. It's not 100% match ofc, but one of those might help. What do you thing - should i start trying those, starting from those released at the +- same time and going further away?
We're "almost there"... 🙂

Hi, Jan:
Sorry those drivers didn't work.
Yes, I recommend you try some of those files.
Use the ones with the larger file sizes and explore the driver files after you use 7-Zip to make sure that hardware ID is present.
Good luck,
Paul

Hey
It's fine, you helped quite a bit so far. I'm sorry i haven't posted in a while, but i'm away on work trip, will be back at wednesday when i'll try another drivers as well.
Will post an update either if i found anything that works or when i tried everything on that last link.

Hello again.
So i've downloaded and unpacked all the drivers from the last link i've posted ( this one ). I've decided to start from the bottom up (since those at the bottom looked closer to the one you found... at least i though so).
And what do you know - either i'm lucky or i'm lucky (guess your "blessing" did the magic ^^) but the first one i've tried (aka the one most at the bottom) worked! And there is indeed a sound coming from the nb now! It was this one. (I've tried to look up more updates via win update but it said it's the most up to date one). Not only that there's a sound coming out of the nb but even mic has appeared and is reading a sound (when i talk / shout next to it).
Thx a lot mate for helping me go thru this.
I have like 40 driver packs (not really sure anymore which ones are important and which did nothing), but at least now i should be able to reinstall the device anytime i want (i'll keep all the needed stuff and will store it on the bootable flashdrive).
So again, thanks so much for your patience and input that helped me to sucessfully complete the task of bringing this (legacy, kinda old and slow, but a memory piece) device back to life.
I really owe you one... Not sure if i'll be ever able to pay back.

Anytime, Jan.
Glad to have been of assistance, and I am happy that one of those drivers finally was the key to solving the audio problem for you.
Enjoy being able to fully use your notebook again!
Cheers,
Paul
